Virtual Power Plant
Westlake VPP (virtual power plant) is a central system operating different types of energy units, including renewable power generation units, power consumers and energy storage facilities. These units can be distributed in residential, industrial and commercial locations.
Internet of Energy (IoE)
By applying a large number of sensors with power monitoring and demand functions, side energy management on power generation, distribution and consumption facilities, energy and information can be exchanged between loads and sources. The result of this exchange will help reduce energy cost and waste. Westlake IoE helps optimize the efficiency of the generation, transmission, and utilization of electricity.

Chinese Cell Production
Fundamental advantage about
the industry chain
A cell production plant with an annual capacity of more than 20 GWh. Westlake New Energy is building a 20 GWh Giga Factory in Zhejiang Province, which is adjacent to Shanghai. The plant site is close to the source of demand to reduce transportation costs and delivery time. Westlake will conduct joint research and development of battery module production lines and PACKs with core European customers. The business model of orders before Production’ greatly reduces risks.
Assembly
Strategy of localization and local content partners
According to the battery capacity demand, set up a joint venture with one of the largest power companies in Poland to establish a battery module Pack factory and realize the joint construction of application system production lines based on European customer orders. By 2021, Westlake Pack plant will be expanded
